Hyattsville Development and Business Update

In the January 9 Hyattsville Reporter, Jim Chandler (Hyattsville Community Development Manager - 301-985-5013 or jchandler@hyattsville.org) reported on the development in the surrounding area as well as the businesses that are coming to the City of Hyattsville.

The mission the City of Hyattsville Office of Community Development is to provide oversight to economic development, community development and planning projects within or near the City of Hyattsville. The department is responsible for overseeing the Capital Improvement Program and all aspects of public and contractual improvement to assure adequate review and input for urban design. The Office also identifies, pursues and acquires available sources of financing for projects related to community development activities. Special initiative funding is not limited to federal, state and local grants and loan programs.
