Hyattsville Youth Sports

Thirty minutes of recess isn't enough!


Magruder 3rd Grade SoccerLocal organizations sponsor lots of activity in our neighborhood. Magruder Park features baseball, cheerleading, and soccer run by HMB Boys and Girls Club. In the spring, CYO baseball is a tradition, followed by CYO soccer in the fall.

Next door to PG Pool in Mt. Rainier, HMB runs youth recreational football. During the summer months, PG Pool features a youth swim team.

College Park Boys and Girls Club runs a spring t-ball league open to local ankle-biters.

HMB signs up playersin K through 8th grade. If you are signing up a new player, you need to give the club a copy of the player's birth certificate and a snapshot or school photo as part of the registration process.

FALL Season
The first soccer practice for HMB K-4th graders is held on the last Wednesday in August, with the first game on the third Saturday in September. Regular practices are held on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00.

Fall games for 5th-8th graders start on the second Saturday of September. Team practice times vary, contact your team or the hotline for details.


SPRING Season
The first soccer practice for HMB K-4th graders is held on the third Saturday in March, with the first game on the following Saturday. Regular practices are held on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00.
